So my friend tried getting Pro-C, but he's an idiot. He had 6.60 OFW and tried to jump straight to 6.60 Pro-C. He said it worked and all until he turned his psp off. After that, he couldn't turn his psp on anymore. I don't know much of the details obviously, but with what I have already said, is there any way of fixing this?

Oh I might be wrong. But I've always thought you needed Pro-B CFW first to update to Pro-C. That's what I've always thought.

no u dont....its the same with all PRO FW...just as long as you have the correct files for your specific FW, its no different then any other PRO update...is he on a fully hackable psp or not?...also, which fixed version of PRO C did he get?...i think they fixed a bug with the CIPL file in "fix3", if he has a fully hackable...or he tried using the CIPL flasher on a non-fully hackable, and thats bad...id have to chat with him to get more details on what happened.

He did mention something about the CIPL flasher. If that was the case though, is there any fix?

I dont think CB and Neuroner came up with a solution yet!! His PSP is doomed if he used the CIPL Loader..... Its only meant for the hackable PSPs....

Does he have a PSP 2000 hackable series?? if he had one of those then the problem wouldn't have been there! And since its not hackable pandora wont work! :/ Sorry but his PSP is really doomed!

I thought the problem wasn't that he used the CIPL Flasher on the wrong PSP but that the CIPL Flasher had bugs that bricked the PSP. Wasn't that a common problem in the old fixes?

No. Unless its a fully hackable PSP CIPL Flasher never works.... Only on the fix2, and original release there was a problem that brick many hackable psps too.... If he has a hackable psp that is PSP 1000-2003 then his psp can be saved except for those all are bricked....
