just so you know, most everyone that plays this game still, have deleted the 1.6 patch...since infrastructure has been shut down, there is no use for it and no need to keep it...you will get a lot of people that cant join your game because of this issue if you keep the patch..plus there is no way to download, copy, or transfer the patch anymore if it has been deleted off your MS, which left a lot of people in the dark...so everyone just decided to delete 1.6 so we could all play again....me, i have one psp with the patch still, and one without it...just so i never get left out, lol.

So il just delete the patch from my psp, but keep a copy of the patch on my computer then.

not entirely sure if that will work...im not 100% sure, but still pretty positive that the patch must be downloaded directly to the psp for it to work...i say this because i have backed up my MS many times and then restored the data, only to find that i had to re-download the patch everytime...it seems to me that its not possible simply to copy over the patch no matter if its a copy of the same one you had previously...and since its not possible to download it from the source anymore, its gone forever once deleted....happy killings my friends.

Well actually i was looking at the patch and it copys the mac address to pervent people from downloading it from alternate sorces. So if you can find the mac id on it then you can mod it.

Your psp's mac address does not change so if you put the patch back in, it should work fine. There is no modding necessary. But that's not the case, the patch still won't work. For whatever reason, they wanted the patch to come directly from them. It makes sense since they tried keeping all save data's to only be compatible with the mac address of the psp it was created on.

No, what I am trying to say is that modding it won't do anything. The mac on the patch is already the same as your psp's.
